LOOP LINE TASTING NOTES | Light and playful, the 2019 RIESLING CHARTA is a typical representative of the traditional Rheingau Rieslings. With lots of peach, stone fruit and citric notes, but also earthy minerality, lovers of the wine style will find themselves here.

On the palate it has good grip and a juicy acidity that makes you want more. As the little brother of the single vineyard wines, the RIESLING CHARTA comes primarily from loess loam soils in the Rheingau VDP.GROSSEN and VDP.ERSTEN LAGEN®, which belong to the winery. These locations are among the best in Germany.

The idea of ​​the charter winegrowers is to prepare the wines with this name according to the traditional Rheingau concept of typicality and quality. In order to achieve this style, Barth selects the fully ripe grapes by hand. The must is then spontaneously fermented in steel tanks and matured on the fine lees for a long time. It is set dry in terms of taste, but has a little sweet tail.

In the cellar he is a master of balance, putting wood and stainless steel in perfect harmony. This is how the typical Barth wines are made - touching and honest, just as they were made.
